A bounced status means an “active rejection” has been received from the contact’s/recipient's server or a “no user found” error was received when trying to deliver the Nurture Cycle email.
Bounced status indicates a permanent reason an email cannot be delivered and no retry will be made.
The bounced status will only appear on the individual contact page when using The Value Builder System server and not for custom SMTP. For custom SMTP, you may receive an error email from your respective email server (Outlook, Gmail, etc.) if an email has bounced or if the email address is invalid.
While there are many reasons an email address may hard bounce, below are some common reasons this
could happen:
• Recipient’s email address does not exist.
• Domain name does not exist.
• Recipient’s email server has completely blocked delivery.
• Recipient’s email server has flagged the email as spam
