With the new release, you are now able to send one-time emails to a contact. This will allow you to send one-off emails that will be logged in the timeline for the specific contact. Emails for reminders, follow-ups, events, and any other email communication that you want is now possible to be tracked via the contact timeline.
In order to send one-time emails, you must set up Custom SMTP with your account. To do so, you can visit our help center article that goes over the setup process by clicking here.
Once custom SMTP has been set up, you can send one-time emails by going into a contact's profile. You can now see that there is an added Email option in the Quick Actions section for the contact.
Clicking on the Email button will open a new window allowing you to edit the email that you wish to send. You can also copy an additional person to the email and include attachments. The email window will pull in the email signature that you have set up for your account.
Once the email has been sent, you will be able to view the event in the timeline where you will be able to track if it has been sent successfully, opened, and/or clicked.
