Prior to your first month's meeting with your business owner, you will be working on completing the Goals section of the Value Builder Engagement Program.
The Vision Builder allows you as the advisor to help your client define the strategic framework for everything you’ll be working on within the Value Builder Engagement. It allows the business owner to articulate their vision and mission, as well as key strategies for helping them achieve this. To help your client begin the process of building out their vision for their business, follow the steps below:
- Click on Value Builder Engagement Program for your contact
- Click ‘Goals’ and then click 'Open goals in VBE system’
- The Vision Builder – click on ‘Create Vision’.
Instruct client to complete this exercise prior to the first meeting.

- The Problem will help identify the problem their business is trying to solve. The most valuable businesses are inspired by trying to solve an existing problem.
- The Solution will address how the company will solve the problem.
- The Success will be a description of their vision for the future, and what that looks like once the problem is solved.
You can create customized questions that you would like the client to identify and describe by clicking on ‘+ Add question’. It’s a great exercise for clients that do not yet have a plan in place and helps to identify the client's vision and mission statement.
