In your Value Builder account, you can easily create and manage Smart Flows. To get started, navigate to the Smart Flows tab in the top navigation bar, and click the Create Smart Flow button.
Follow these steps to create your own custom Smart Flow:
1. Select the Type of Smart Flow
You’ll have two options:
- Choose from one of the default Smart Flows, which come pre-configured with steps that you can customize later.
- Or, create your own custom Smart Flow from scratch. This guide walks you through the steps to build a custom flow.
2. Name Your Smart Flow
Give your Smart Flow a unique and descriptive name to help you easily identify it later.
3. Choose a Time Zone
Select the time zone in which your Smart Flow will schedule and send emails to your contacts. This ensures the timing of your emails is aligned with your audience’s location.
4. Confirm and Create
Once you’ve completed the above steps, review your selections and click Confirm and Create to finalize your Smart Flow.
5. Add a Step to Your Smart Flow
In the Steps Overview, click on Create Step to add a new step to your Smart Flow.
6. Set the Timing for Your Step
In the step creation window, you can configure the timing for the email to be sent:
- Select the Day: Choose the day on which you’d like the email to be sent. Note that Day 1 refers to the next day after a contact has been added to the Smart Flow.
- Select the Time: Specify the exact time when this step should execute and the email should be delivered to your contacts.
Once you’ve set the day and time, you can proceed to further personalize the email content for this step.
7. Crafting the Email
In the email editing window, you have the flexibility to create or use an existing email template:
- Craft a new email from scratch.
- Insert a default or personal template to quickly populate the content.
- After creating a new email, you can also choose to save it as a template for future use.
Once you're satisfied with the email content, click Add to finalize the step.
8. Adding Additional Steps to Your Smart Flow
You can continue building your Smart Flow by adding more steps for your contacts to progress through. To manage your steps:
- Add new steps to guide the journey of your contacts.
- Edit any previously created steps to make adjustments.
- Delete a step if it's no longer needed in your flow.
This allows you to fully customize the experience and ensure your Smart Flow aligns with your goals.
9. Adding Contacts to Your Smart Flow
Once you've added all the necessary steps and confirmed the details of your Smart Flow, you can now begin adding contacts to it.
Important Note: Once a contact has been added to a Smart Flow, you will no longer be able to edit the flow. Make sure all steps and settings are finalized before adding contacts.
