The lead generation tools available in the portal under Settings > Lead Magnets can be sent as a link or embedded on your website and are meant to initiate and attract prospect interest in your product and service offerings.
These tools are meant to be used as a jump-off point and are our way of helping you as a value builder advisor provide value before asking for more information from potential prospects.

Setting Up and Using the Landing Page
The landing page will provide business owners with a quick overview of what they will find in the eBook and provides them the opportunity to fill in a contact form in exchange for the eBook download. You have the option to add a required field to the contact form for them to include a phone number. This is not recommended practice as it can often impede completion of the form.
Once they provide their information and click Download Now, they will be redirected to the eBook, as well as in the auto-response email will be provided with a link to re-download in the future if they want.
Setting Up and Using the Embed Code
- Click on the “Copy” button to the right of the Call to Action Embed Code to your clipboard.
- In your content management system, open your HTML viewer.
- Paste the HTML snippet you just copied into your HTML viewer window. Then click 'OK' or 'Save.' Be sure you're not pasting it within another snippet of code -- otherwise, you will see errors on your web page. This step is the same regardless of the content management system.
- You have now embedded content onto your website or blog.
Setting Up Your Auto-response Email
- The auto-response email will go out regardless of whether the user views the eBook on the web page or not.
- This is your “thank you” for them providing you with contact information.
- Make sure not to remove the link to download (%link to the whitepaper%), so they can easily re-download it later if they need to. Consider this email 0 of your campaign.
- Nurture Cycle: Following the initial auto-response email, you will need to follow up in the coming days to build a relationship with the lead, offering them more, and pulling them into your services. Note: A contact will be auto-enrolled in your Nurture Cycle if you have selected the Automatic opt-in in your Nurture Cycle Settings.
Choose Your Call to Action
The call to action, which will only be visible to new contacts, not those already existing, will appear as a clickable button at the end of the auto-response email. This is your final word to try and draw them further into your cycle, so leave the business owner with a custom call to action that speaks best to your business cycle. As this is only going to new contacts, it is your personal stamp. You have a few choices for your CTA:
- “Connect with your advisor” link - you can put in any URL you want to; however, the most common suggestions are a calendar booking link or a “Contact Us” page on your website. Note: If you select this option, but don’t have the URL filled out, the button will be hidden.
- Invite to get their VB Score – 13-minute assessment which measures a the “sellability” of a business and when completed will instantly provide a score out of 100.
- Invite to get their PREScore™ - the option to Invite to get PREScore™ (or Personal Readiness to Exit Score) if enabled and available to you- an 8-minute assessment.
- that evaluates a business owner’s readiness to exit their company on a personal level.
- Choose to provide No Call to Action.
